Please take a moment to review these important reminders about trash collection days and associated regulations:
Collection Days and Guidelines
• Collection Days: Monday/Thursday for trash pickup and Thursday for Bulk pick up.
• Pick-Up Location: Trash will be collected wherever your driveway is located – whether that’s in the front or back.
• Placement Time:
o Trash can be placed out no earlier than 5:30 PM the day before your scheduled pickup.
o Trash containers must be removed from the curb line no later than 8 PM on the day of collection.

City of Mesquite Ordinance
Mesquite City Code Section 14-34 states:
"It shall be unlawful for solid waste and recyclable materials to be placed out for collection earlier than 5:30 PM the day before scheduled pickup and later than 7:30 AM the day of scheduled pickup; except that placement later than 7:30 AM shall be permitted if it is ascertained that collection along the street or alley has not yet occurred. Containers should be removed from the curb line no later than 8 PM on the day in which collection occurs.
Community CCRs
As outlined in the Community CCRs:
• Section 2.12 - Rubbish and Debris: No rubbish or debris may accumulate within the property. Trash must be kept in covered containers and stored in enclosed structures or appropriately screened from view.
• Section 2.13 - Trash Containers:
o Trash and recycling containers must be stored inside your garage unless specified otherwise by the Board.
o Containers must be removed from the street within 24 hours of pickup, per the CCRs. However, the city ordinance requires removal by 8 PM on the day of collection.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in violations and fines.
